On June 10th, Alex and Caleb had the most beautiful wedding day here at Hilltop Memory Makers to celebrate their beautiful love. Everything from her stunning dress to the white flowers, greenery, and decor was absolutely stunning and I still can’t get over it! Alex and Caleb were the most amazing couple to work with and I am so glad they chose Hilltop Memory Makers to be their West Michigan wedding venue! A + C’s Love Story

“We both felt like it was easy with us. We had a ton in common and Caleb used to say he was obsessed with me. Not in a creepy way but that we couldn’t get enough of each other. We wanted to know everything about each other and spend a lot of time together. Obviously, not every day was or still is rainbows and butterflies. We’ve gone through a lot of growing pains together. I live in North Carolina and we had a long-distance relationship for a year. We went through job changes and a few moves together. Now we own a home together and have other living things (dogs) and we take care of each other. Something about knowing that this person is who you’re meant to be with and that you don’t want anyone else makes all the fights better in a way. You know the arguments will end and everything will be okay because it has to be. It’s still so crazy to us that the most amazing things happen when you least expect it. Obviously, God had this all planned but we had no idea. We are thankful to him that he brought us together. He knew we needed each other long before we did.”

Getting Ready on Their Big Day

Here at Hilltop Memory Makers, we have a beautiful farmhouse for our couples to get ready in and Alex and Caleb did just that. It has designated spaces for the bride and the groom and it’s perfect because it is right on the property only steps away from the ceremony and reception sites.

The bride getting ready space has big windows, elegant chandeliers, and tons of cozy seating for her and all of her bridesmaids/family to hang out while they get ready. I love this space so much because it has so many great areas for getting ready photos and spots for detailed shots of the dress. Caleb and his groomsmen got ready upstairs in the farmhouse which provides a relaxing atmosphere for the guys to hang out and get ready!

Okay, I need to take a moment to talk about Alex’s wedding dress. It was a stunning long-sleeved-sleeved a-line wedding dress and it couldn’t have been more perfect for her! It was fitted at the top and flowy at the bottom and looked absolutely STUNNING!

Special First Looks

While Alex and Caleb opted not to do a first look before the ceremony, Alex did a first look with her mom and dad and it was so special. There is just something about the looks on a parent’s face when they see their daughter for the first time on their wedding day. They were so proud of her and they all instantly started crying. Those are the kinds of moments you never forget!

A Gorgeous Outdoor Wedding Ceremony

Here at Hilltop Memory Makers, we have 5 ceremony sites for you to choose from. Alex and Caleb chose the brown arbor which is one of my favorites for a summer wedding. There is nothing but green grass surrounding the whole area and it is just so serene and beautiful.

Alex and Caleb’s ceremony was so beautiful and you could just see how in love they were. They both smiled almost the entire ceremony and their excitement and love for one another just radiated!

Outdoor Wedding Photos Before the Reception

After their ceremony, Alex and Caleb took advantage of our beautiful property and took photos all over the place. They took photos with their family in front of our vine wall and then headed over to the brick vintage wall gate to capture the wedding party photos! Their wedding party had so much energy and getting to see them hype up the bride and groom was the best!

Then Alex and Caleb separated from everyone else to go with their photographer to capture some newlywed photos. They ran around in the grassy areas and got the most gorgeous and intimate photos. One of the main things I love so much about our venue is all of the different backdrops and greenery perfect for your wedding photos!

A West Michigan Barn Wedding Venue Reception

The party then got started in our barn reception space where they all enjoyed amazing food from Frankie V’s, danced for hours thanks to the DJ (Live Wires Entertainment), and celebrated the newlyweds. Our barn reception space opens up an outdoor area so you and your guests can enjoy an indoor/outdoor feel all night long!

Alex and Caleb also took advantage of our extensive furniture and decor selection to use to decorate the space. She kept it simple and elegant with white flowers, greenery, and timeless details.
