How to Pick the Right Wedding Vendors for You

Okay, so how the heck do you pick the right wedding vendors? Believe me, I get it, there are soooo many vendors out there to choose from and it can be a daunting task. But to make it a little easier for you, here are a few tips to help you out! 

• Consider your budget for each type of vendor you plan on hiring. Decide what things are most important to you. For example, your venue and wedding photographer will probably be some of your more expensive vendors. 
• If you have already chosen your venue, ask them for reputable recommendations of vendors they have worked with. Later in this guide, you will find our favorite vendors that we have worked with here at Hilltop Memory Makers. 
• Read reviews: Reviews are some of the best things to look at when hiring vendors. Take the time to read through the reviews to get a sense of the vendor’s quality of work and level of customer service.
• Once you have narrowed down your options, inquire with those vendors and try to schedule a call with them or meet them in person. See if you mesh well with them, like their style of working, and can afford their services. 
• Don’t be afraid to turn a vendor down if you genuinely feel that they are not the best fit. Just be honest and upfront with them.

There are so many amazing Michigan wedding caterers to hire but we have personally worked with Frankie Vs several times and they never disappoint. They offer a little bit of everything from pizza and pasta to burgers, amazing appetizers, and salads.

Your wedding planner can seriously make or break your big day. They are taking on all of the major planning and stress so that you sit back and enjoy your day of love. Here at Hilltop Memory Makers, we have personally worked with The Best Day Details several times and they are AMAZING. Nothing slips through the cracks and they ensure that your wedding day runs smoothly. 

Michigan Wedding DJ

Picking the right DJ is so important because they are in charge of setting the mood and getting people up and dancing during your reception. Our favorite DJ that we have worked with is DJ Bes Entertainment. He is absolutely amazing and every wedding that we have had here that has hired him has had the highest energy and most fun receptions.

A local wedding dress shop that we could not recommend enough is Beckers Bridal. They have so many amazing options and the best staff to help you find your dream wedding dress.

Pretty Petal Papers is an amazing stationary and design company here in Michigan and several of our clients have opted to use them. From invitations to custom signs for your wedding, they have tons of different options and can help you curate the perfect designs to match the theme of your wedding. 

Live Guest Watercolor

Okay so this vendor is super unique and one that I highly recommend. Lakeside Style comes to your wedding and does live guest watercolor paintings which are so beautiful and are such a cool way to remember your special day!
