Austin and Marissa’s summer wedding here at our barn wedding venue in Coral, Michigan was the most perfect day! They had the most stunning weather as a storm was brewing nearby but never made its way to ruin the day. But this nearby storm made the skies so dramatic and beautiful! We are so honored that Austin and Marissa chose to have their June wedding here at Hilltop Memory Makers!
Austin and Marissa both started their wedding day off getting ready in our farmhouse which has designated areas for each partner. Marissa’s accommodations included a formal living room and a stunning bridal suite that allowed her and her attendants an indulgent space to relax and be pampered. This beautiful space is decorated with simple vintage decor and elegant chandeliers.
Austin’s getting ready space is located upstairs of the farmhouse and includes a private restroom and a relaxing atmosphere for the groom and his groomsmen to get ready for the big event.
Austin and Marissa opted not to do the first look before the ceremony and instead did a first touch in the farmhouse. This is a great option if you want to talk to each other and get some of the nerves out but still save the traditional first look for when the bride walks down the aisle! Some couples even opt to read each other private vows during their first touch which can make this moment even more intimate and special!
But, Marissa did want to do a first look with her father. Her father waited for her right under the white gazebo and instantly started crying as soon as he turned around and saw her. It was such a special moment!
Here at our barn wedding venue in Michigan, we offer 5 different ceremony sites to choose from and Austin and Marissa chose the brown arbor. This ceremony site is surrounded by endless views of the surrounding grass areas and nothing else. It is a very intimate and serene area with a wood arbor which you can decorate with beautiful flowers.
Austin and Marissa’s ceremony decor was simple and elegant and complemented this ceremony site perfectly. They had white and blush pink roses with greenery and linen wrapped around the brown arbor creating the most beautiful arch over them for the ceremony!
After their beautiful ceremony, it was time for lots of pictures. What makes our barn wedding venue so special is that we have so many different spaces where you can take photos. Here are a few of our favorite spots for taking photos:
Austin and Marissa opted to take most of their photos in front of the farmhouse and vine wall. This group was so much fun and they truly gave all the energy when taking the photos. Their bridal party is the perfect example of the type of energy every wedding needs!!
Once all the photos were done, it was time for dinner and to party! Our dinner receptions take place in our red dinner barn which opens up to our outdoor dance floor. The inside of the dinner barn has a more rustic feel with wood lining the walls and ceiling. It’s a simple space that really shines when you add in some decor. Austin and Marissa decorated with white and blush florals, greenery, and some more boho decor.
This group was so much fun and ended the night dancing outside for hours! Austin and Marissa had such a beautiful wedding and we are so happy they chose Hilltop Memory Makers to be their Michigan Wedding Venue!!
The summertime here in Michigan is absolutely beautiful and the weather is warm. The highs usually reach around 82 degrees and the lows range from the mid to high 50s. Occasionally there is a chance of a storm rolling in but that doesn’t happen too often.
It is $5,000 to rent our venue on a Friday or Sunday in the summer months. For a Saturday wedding, it is $6,000 and to rent the venue out for the entire weekend is $10,000.
Ideally, we recommend inquiring at least one year in advance but if you have a date in mind that you really want, try and reach out 1.5-2 years in advance. Currently, we still have some availability for a 2024 summer wedding for some dates in May and June.
Yes, our dinner barn has AC. We also have 3 patio heaters to place around the dance floor or the bar barn if needed.
